Social media has had a massive impact on communication and the training that they need. Social media has been both a blessing and a curse for communication and people. The boon being that people can connect to family and friends. They can even make friends that they never thought they could. This includes people from different cultures or different backgrounds.

With social media journalist can create stronger relationships and they can create new forms of storytelling (Filak, 2024). When it comes to the work environment knowing what the company wants is key. The reason for this is the fact that you will need to know what hey are trying to say. With that knowledge finding what makes the audience interact with the post will help people to either relate to it or chare it with someone that will. Training for social media is needed no matter what. The reason being is that misinformation is something that can harm a lot of people even if you don't mean to. Social media also has a side that journalist need to be careful of. Inaccurate information can severly damage the trust that people have in the account that posted the information (Filak, 2024). The best part of social media is the analytics that can be seen from a profile. Social media allows the owner of the account to see what the audience looks at the most.
