iTunes and Apple Music have changed the game for people. Before the start of digital music people had to go to stores to buy CDs or pre-order them. After that the CDs then had to be downloaded onto computers to make a playlist on another CD or an MP3 player. Once digital music showed up the change was nearly overnight no more waiting in line to get the newest CD from your favorite artist or band. No more waiting for it to show up in the mail. You just had to buy it online and it would be in your music library within a few minutes. For consumers the expectations changes from waiting a fews or days to near instant gratification. Anything less than near instant acces became an issue that needed to be fixed as quickly as possible. Even if you had to wait on hold to get it fixed. When it comes to the culture of music, there has been some changes. The main change is when it comes to gratification on getting what you want when you want it. Instead of patience when it comes to music and the creative process people are now taught that buying an album comes with near instant satisfaction. There is no need to leave your home to get it and it can be satisfied anywhere that you have a connection. Apple Music transformed how music was distributed and consumed (Bomzer, 2024)
