Video games have come a long way form the first arcade games. They have become more intricate and complex. The stories have drawn people in to the point where whole universes can be seen and expanded on. Consumers wanted to get lost in the universe that the game had created but the outside world was interfering to much. So companies started looking into VR headsets for people (Yasar & Sheldon, 2024).

It was a slow process due to the new processes and inputs that were needed to make the change near seamless for the user. With VR consumers started to need games that immersed them into the world. You can hear the environment and almost feel the terror that the character was experiencing. Gaming has a culture all its own and it changes depending on the game or genre. If a company cannot afford to add VR to the game at launch then they have to create stories or universes that people can get lost in and love what they have always dreamed of.
